The literary genre of epic has a pivotal role in the history of creating literary Persian works. Burzo-name and Homay-name are two available works from Persian epic composing current that are considerably important due to their being within the above current and their representation of dominant epic spirit on Iranian society and recognition of national Iranian identity in historical periods of 6th to 8th centuries Hegira. The study method is descriptive-analytic and attempts to investigate the values of these two works from the perspective of epic-composing, and compares and analyzes the available epic components within them and shows their adaptation with epic features. Based on the results of this study, one can consider the creation of abovementioned works as affected by the competitive atmosphere of Persian Classic Literature and innovation of Burzo-name composer in “Unexpected” and “Incompatible” shows the end of story and also innovation of Homay-name composer in “subject” shows being in such a competitive environment. Particularly, Homay-name whose epic feature is correspondent with intellectual and literary changes of Araqi Style is involved with eloquent and non-eloquent speech due to compilation with lyric and romantic themes. Therefore, in comparative valuation, the Burzo-name epopee could have shown its epic features in longitudinal and latitudinal axes of the work in comparison with Homay-name due to reasons like following tradition of national epic-composing whose heroes are selected from Rostam family, honor in race and family and national originality, and local problems and sometimes national approach toward heroic actions of the story and contrasting with foreign forces and it could have closed them toward the epic power and dominance of Firdausi. The analysis of old narratives is one of the significant approaches in archetypical criticism through the “The Journey of Hero” by Joseph Campbell. One of the significant narratives of Alexander journey is the narrative of Darab-name by Tarsusi. The events of this journey can be analyzed using the elements of archetype of the “The Journey of Hero” by Joseph Campbell like departure, invitation, mystic help, respect, the path of test, tempter woman, final blessing, return, the hand of salvation, and so on. The most important stage of The Journey of Hero in Departure section is the invitation to journey by Aristotelis in the role of archetype of Wise Old man. Dominating on “Dara” as the guard of First Threshold, facing with Buran-Doxt in the role of tempter woman and then marrying with her and converting her to Positive Anima in Section of The Path of Test, searching alkahest as the final blessing, visiting angels, and reaching a prophet-like stage, seeing strange and extravagant matters and dominion on world are all the important steps of the Journey of Hero in the narrative of Tarsusi. The study shows the evolution of a historical event in epic and mythological frameworks. One can arrive at a new reading of this narrative within these frameworks. Manuscript profile

Haft Peykar (“Seven portraits”) by Hakim Nezami Ganjavi, which is his fourth epopee from temporal perspective and one of its two masterpieces (along with Khosraw and Shirin) from quality perspective is the adventure of Bahram-e Gur. His story is narrated along with seven girls from seven different lands. Bahram-e Gur lives every day of a week with one girl in a dome having special color and listens to strange stories from them. At Wednesday in turquoise colored dome, the girl of fifth land tells the story of a man who got to be captive of demons; the representation of Souroush (Gabriel) is so obvious in this story. Souroush is one of the Zoroastrian lords that is emerged in different kinds and forms in public belief and literary works. Souroush is often the angel and messenger of mystic world. One of the most important roles of Souroush is fighting with demons and evils. It is in this fighting that the bird concomitant with Souroush invites people to awakening and worshipping God with its groan. After noting features and characteristics of Souroush Lord and its concomitant bird, the study attempts to follow one of its most important actions within the story. It is seen that disappearing of demons is due to the presence of Souroush Lord. Manuscript profile

“Form” of a sentence is one of its syntactical features that is frequently used in eloquence and discourse analysis of literary and non-literary text. This significance is caused by this fact that “form” is the chart and scheme of communicational aspect (interactional/ interpersonal) in literature and clarifies the rate of certainty of author’s view and his/her relation with audience. Due to this, the form of sentence is one of most important subjects which will be discussed under the sections of predicate and composition. From 80th century in west that ideological and discourse analysis of literary (and non-literary) texts are paid due attention, modern critics emphasized that literature is non-personal and objective. They focused on the interactional function of language and considered form, the most important element in interactional function of language, worth investigating. We reviewed the condition of form of sentence in Tarikh-e Beyhaqi in limited and special manner (focusing on Zin and Saljuq/ Selçuk). Tarikh-e Beyhaqi is an artistic history that its author has a deliberate intention in keeping the mutual relation with his audience. In other hand, he had used the element of “Conversation” more than contemporary novelists. Due to this, the different forms of sentences have high frequency in his works. One can propose ideological and discourse analysis analyzing their qualities. Manuscript profile
