1 - The Comparison of Epic Features of Two Epopees: Burzo -name (Old Section) and Homay-name

The literary genre of epic has a pivotal role in the history of creating literary Persian works. Burzo-name and Homay-name are two available works from Persian epic composing current that are considerably important due to their being within the above current and their representation of dominant epic spirit on Iranian society and recognition of national Iranian identity in historical periods of 6th to 8th centuries Hegira. The study method is descriptive-analytic and attempts to investigate the values of these two works from the perspective of epic-composing, and compares and analyzes the available epic components within them and shows their adaptation with epic features. Based on the results of this study, one can consider the creation of abovementioned works as affected by the competitive atmosphere of Persian Classic Literature and innovation of Burzo-name composer in “Unexpected” and “Incompatible” shows the end of story and also innovation of Homay-name composer in “subject” shows being in such a competitive environment. Particularly, Homay-name whose epic feature is correspondent with intellectual and literary changes of Araqi Style is involved with eloquent and non-eloquent speech due to compilation with lyric and romantic themes. Therefore, in comparative valuation, the Burzo-name epopee could have shown its epic features in longitudinal and latitudinal axes of the work in comparison with Homay-name due to reasons like following tradition of national epic-composing whose heroes are selected from Rostam family, honor in race and family and national originality, and local problems and sometimes national approach toward heroic actions of the story and contrasting with foreign forces and it could have closed them toward the epic power and dominance of Firdausi. 2 - Hermeneutic-Intertextual Reading of a verse of Hafiz Divan Based on Intertextual Theory of “Michael Riffaterre”
دکتر سید علی  قاسم‌زاده علی اکبر  فخرو
This article emphasizes and focuses on this verse: “O sweet fountain! from the modesty of thy sweet lip (the stream of divine grace), Now, steeped in water and sweat (of toil of search), a piece of sugar (the illusory beloved)-- is not, that is not” to review hidden se Full Text
This article emphasizes and focuses on this verse: “O sweet fountain! from the modesty of thy sweet lip (the stream of divine grace), Now, steeped in water and sweat (of toil of search), a piece of sugar (the illusory beloved)-- is not, that is not” to review hidden semantic layers of text based on Hermeneutic-Intertextual analysis approach of Michael Riffaterre. The basis of this Hermeneutic structuralist approach of Riffaterre is that Intertextual aspects of poem will be unlocked by help of non-grammars (literary non-normalities) passing through first layer of meaning (linear reading) to underlying and deep structure level of poem (non-linear reading). In his view, allusion or quotation is a hypogram which is activated previously in another text and current text is discovered due to the kind of reading of audience, recovery and its implications. The result of applying theoretical framework of Riffaterre is that Hafiz intellectual matrix in this verse is lyric and romantic and its hypogram is totally congruent and correspondent with criteria of this matrix. Reader uncovers hidden underlying layers of text from obvious Intertextual level of Khosru and Shirin poem of Nizami (Cliché and descriptive hypogram) with help of presuppositions and his mind meaning hypograms. It seems Hafiz wants to represent the kind of communication and love affair with his ideal beloved through deconstructing semantic substructure of text by using all capacities of meaning-creation of ambiguity and magic of lexical collocations. 3 - Analyzing the movement of Iranian Mythological Themes and Narrations in Persian Novels. (Mordad 28, 1332 – 1387)

The emergence of mythology in the contemporary Persian novels, as the dominant literary discourse, is an epoch making movement. Based upon their vision and socio- political situation, many of the contemporary authors have used mythology in order to achieve two main goals: one, to present an interpretation of the world around, and the other, to enhance the esthetic and attractive values which they are to present in their works. According to the findings of the research, novelists within the 1340’s and 1350’s showed most concern toward restructuring and reproducing myth ever. A main reason was the authors’ nostalgias caused by the events such as the defeat of folk movement and the coup of Mordad 28th which mad long and deep impression on them. The most tendencies to myths in post-revolution period can be seen in 1370’s and 1380’s. However, the authors’ motivations differ from those of the pre-revolution period. A vast number of writers follow modernist and postmodernist movements and aesthetical tastes; some try to strengthen and revive national features, turn back to their traditional origins rather than pure imitating the West. The present research seeks to study and analyze how the mythological theme and narratives have been reflected, reproduced in the contemporary Iranian novels from mordad 28th 1332 to 1387. The novel of “Ghale-Morghi, The Pyramidal Age” authored by Salman Amin, is one of the successful novels which is Concerned with unemployment and its consequences as a special social problem. Based on the American Robert Merton’s (1901– 2003) “Theory of Opportunity” this research studies different types of personality and behavioral disorders within this novel. According to Merton’s theory, social problems are the result of the gap between desirable goals of the society and the ways of achieving them. By describing the desirable goals for their members, societies can also introduce their solutions and strategies; however, when there is a gap between goals and the institutionalized means of reaching them, deviation and disorder will occur. According to this theoretical model, “Ghale-Morghi, the Pyramidal Age” represents an image of a society that has determined the same accepted goals for every one; but choosing between the possible ways of reaching them is related to individual’s social status and class. Although the main character of the novel begins to discover new ways by means of Promethean rebellion; at the end, he finds no choice other than isolation and letting go of the goals..
