This &lrm;type of metaphor cannot be found in the early rhetorical works. It was the great &lrm;scholar, Jurjani, who dealt with this metaphorical structure, yet he has not men-&lrm;tioned any name for it. Once a name was coined for this term, disputes over its &lrm;authenticity also began. Some researchers refrained to recognize it as a metaphor, &lrm;some described it as implicit simile and some just repeated others' views. In recent &lrm;times some researchers, by suggesting it as a kind of personification, have tried o &lrm;solve the problem; however, they have finally admitted that the implicit metaphor is &lrm;broader and more inclusive than personification.&lrm; In this paper, in addition to reviewing and analyzing this term chronologically in &lrm;rhetorical works,we have shown that rhetorics researchers have paid more atten-&lrm;tion to the definition of metaphor and have focused on the implicit metaphor in &lrm;terms of terminology; they have considered it from the lexical aspect, while based &lrm;on the definition of Sakkaki and other rhetoricians, "metaphoricity" of this structure &lrm;is acceptable, however we can not accept constraints such as “imaginative". It can &lrm;also regard personification, subordinate metaphor , animism as branches of the &lrm;implicit metaphor, not it's alternatives.&lrm;</p> <p>از جمله مسائل حوزه استعاره که همواره محل مناقشه بوده، استعاره مکنیه است. در آثار اولیه بلاغی از این &rlm;ساختار خبری نیست ؛ در مرحله بعد، محققی چون جرجانی به بحث درباره این موضوع می پردازد، ولی نامی بر &rlm;آن نمی نهد. همزمان با ضرب این اصطلاح، نزاع بر سر درستی آن نیز آغاز شد، عده ای استعاره بودن آن را &rlm;نپذیرفتند، برخی آن را در زمره تشبیه مضمر دانستند&lrm; &lrm;و گروهی هم فقط نظر دیگران را تکرار کرده اند؛ عده ای&lrm; &lrm;هم در دوره اخیر تلاش کرده اند با طرح مسأله تشخیص، اختلافات موجود را حل کنند، ولی در نهایت اذعان می &rlm;نمایند اصطلاح استعاره مکنیه عامتر از تشخیص است و شمول بیشتری دارد.&rlm; در مقاله حاضر ضمن بررسی، تحلیل و نقد این اصطلاح در آثار بلاغی، به ترتیب تاریخی، نشان داده ایم &rlm;پژوهشگران بلاغی بیش از توجه به تعریف استعاره و تمرکز بر چگونگی استعاره مکنیه از نظر اصطلاح شناختی یا &rlm;ترمینولوژیک، آن را از نظر لغوی مد نظر داشته اند در حالیکه بر مبنای تعریف سکاکی و برخی دیگر از بلاغیون، &rlm;&rlm;« استعارگی» این ساختار پذیرفتی است؛ هرچند نمی توانیم قیدهایی مانند «تخییلیه» را بپذیریم. همچنین می &rlm;توان از تشخیص، استعاره تبعیه و جاندارانگاری به عنوان شاخه های این استعاره یاد کرد نه جایگزین های آن.&rlm;</p>
