To do this, he has made imaginary symbols of immortality. Of the most prominent of these symbols are the imaginary eternal buildings. In the ancient Iranian mythology, there existed buildings in which one would be protected from death and become immortal. These buildings have apparently been made of sacred stones or metal, enjoying supernatural characteristics. Many of these buildings shared the same patterns. Disregarding the formal differences, one comes to understand the deeper hidden layers of these imaginations, and that these imaginations somehow give form to eternity. It has been the objective of this paper to probe into these characteristics in order to illustrate that all these buildings share the same origin, and features. انسان، از آغاز پيدايش براي درك و رسيدن به جاودانگي، به تلاش‌هاي بسياري دست زده است. او بدين منظور نمونه‌هاي جاودانه گوناگوني تصور كرده و ساخته است. يكي از آشكارترين اين نمونه‌ها، تصور بناهاي جاودانه است. در اساطير ايران، سخن از بناهايي است كه به منظور گريز از مرگ و رسيدن به جاودانگي، ساخته يا تصور شده‌اند. اين بناها، با ويژگي‌‌‌هايي ماورايي و با ديوارهايي از جنس سنگ‌هاي مقدس يا فلزند. بسياري از اين بناها، از نظام‌هاي مشتركي پيروي مي‌كنند. با گذر از تفاوت‌هاي ظاهري و راه يافتن به لايه‌هاي پنهان اين تصورات، مي‌توان پي برد كه تصور چنين بناهايي، نوعي «فرم» يا «شكل» بخشيدن به‌ معناي‌ جاودانگي است. در اين مقاله با كنار هم قرار دادن و بررسي ويژگي‌هاي مشترك و اجزاي چنين بناهايي كوشيده‌ايم اصلي ثابت و سرچشمه‌اي واحد،‌ ميان عناصر متغير آنها نشان دهيم. http://literature.ihss.ac.ir/fa/Article/Download/10142
