Literature too, faced a metamorphosis in the form of novel, and emergence of new ways in narration. The term »Stream of Consciousness« was first used by the American psychologist »William James« in psychology, then entered the field of literature and became one of the modern narrative techniques. The present study has attempted to, first, give a brief description of the main features of the ‘stream of consciousness’, and then, investigate those features in some of the stories written by the contemporary modern Iranian writer, ‘Mostafa Mastoor’. In other words, the present paper tries to find the answer to the question of the possibility of classifying some of Mastoor’s stories under the title of “stream of consciousness”, as some critics believes. It should be noted that the term ‘stream of consciousness’ is used for the stories having all or most of the features known for it. Therefore, the selected works of Mastoor's as samples do not mean that they are fully written under the rules of the ‘stream of consciousness’, rather, they aim at probing the strength of its effects in these works. با شکوفایی جریانِ عظیمِ «مدرنیسم» در قرن بیستم که همة حوزه‌هاي حیاتِ بشری را تحتِ سیطرة خویش قرار داد، در ادبیّات نیز شاهد دگردیسیِ رمان و پیدایشِ شیوه‌هاي نوینی برای روایتِ داستان بودیم. اصطلاح استعاریِ «جریان سیّال ذهن» که نخستین بار توسّط «ویلیام جیمز» آمریکایی در حوزة علم روانشناسی مطرح شد، طیِ همین پروسة «مدرنیسم» واردِ حوزة ادبیّاتِ داستانی شده، به شیوه‌ای مدرن به روایتِ رمان مبدّل گشت. در قالبِ این مقاله کوشیده‌ایم پس از اشاره‌ای گذرا به ویژگی‌ها و مشخّصه‌هاي «جریان سیّال ذهن» با انتخابِ داستان‌هايی از «مصطفی مستور» که آثارش بیشترین شباهت را به شیوة «جریان سیّال ذهن» دارد، آنها را از منظرِ انطباق با معیارهای داستانِ «جریان سیّال ذهن» مورد بررسی و نقد قرار دهیم. به بیانِ دیگر اين مقاله در صدد پاسخگویی به‌این پرسش است که می‌توان تعدادی از داستان‌هاي «مصطفی مستور» را – آنگونه که آيا برخی از منتقدین گفته‌اند- در مجموعة داستان‌هاي «جریان سیّال ذهن» جای داد؟ در کنار آنچه به عنوان هدف غایی این مقاله عنوان شد، بايد گفت که صفت «جریان سیّال ذهن» به آن دسته از داستان‌ها اطلاق می‌شود که دارندة همه یا بخش اعظمی‌از ویژگی‌هاي «جریان سیّال ذهن» باشد. بدین ترتیب نمونه‌هاي مستخرج و ارائه شده از داستان‌هاي مستور برای تک تک ویژگی‌هاي «جریان سیّال ذهن» نه به معنای قطعیّتِ انتسابِ آنها به‌این شیوه از داستان‌پردازی، بلکه کوششی است تا درصدِ وجودِ این ویژگی‌ها و شدّت و ضعفِ آنها در داستان‌هاي موردِ بررسی نشان داده شود. http://literature.ihss.ac.ir/fa/Article/Download/10057
