First, a summary of two verses namely Shahname and Khosro and Shirin are presented as a total framework and outline of the stories in front of the readers’ eyes. Then two versions of the story have been compared with a historic source in order to reveal that which of the poets was more obligated to the historical narration. Certainly the refer should be made to a source which had been written before the two verses were written because it is highly probable that the dates following the two verses had been effected by one of them. Meanwhile, the stories might have been changed through the history. For this reason we have chosen the book Tarikhe Tabari which is the oldest source in order to measure the two summaries. There were some points in Tarikhe Tabari, not written in Shahname or Khosro and Shirin. In such a case, we referred to the books Majmaoltavarikh and Tarikhe Saalabi written before Nezami period. هدف از تدوين اين مقاله اين بود كه داستان «خسرو و شيرين‌» را كه در دو منظومه متفاوت آمده است، به‌ صورت تطبيقي با هم مقايسه كنيم‌. نخست خلاصه‌اي از دو منظومه؛ يعني شاهنامه و خسرو و شيرين نظامي فراهم آورديم تا چهارچوب و طرح كلي داستان در دو منظومه پيش چشم خواننده باشد. سپس دو صورت اين‌داستان را با يك منبع تاريخي مقايسه كرده‌ايم تا معلوم شود كدام يك از سرايندگان به روايات تاريخي‌ پاي‌بندتر بوده‌اند. مسلماً اين مراجعه مي‌بايست به منبعي صورت گيرد كه قبل از اين دو منظومه به رشته تحرير در آمده‌ باشد؛ چرا كه احتمال اينكه تاريخ‌هاي بعدي خود تحت تأثير يكي از اين دو منظومه باشند، كم نيست‌. در ضمن ممكن ‌است در طول زمان شاخ و برگ‌‌‌هايي به اين داستان افزوده و وارد تاريخ شود. براي اين كار تاريخ طبري را انتخاب كرديم كه از همه منابع قديمي‌تر است و خلاصه‌اي هم از روايت تاريخ طبري فراهم كرديم تا دو خلاصه قبلي را با اين يكي محك بزنيم‌. مواردي نيز بود كه در شاهنامه يا خسرو و شيرين يا هر دو ذكر شده بود، ولي‌در تاريخ طبري نبود. در چنين مواردي نيز به كتاب‌هاي مجمل التواريخ و تاريخ ثعالبي مراجعه كرديم كه حداقل قبل از نظامي تأليف يافته‌اند. http://literature.ihss.ac.ir/en/Article/Download/10187
