Building on Mikhail Bakhtin's concept of the chronotope as the intrinsic connectedness of temporal and spatial relationships in literature, this research examines how these chronotopes contribute to genre-specific atmospheric and poietic effects in the novel. Specifically, the analysis focuses on the primary chronotope of the ruins and wreckage as a symbolic space that reflects a nostalgic and ultimately futile attempt to revive the past in the present. Employing a qualitative and interpretive methodology, the study reveals that the Romantic-Gothic character of the narrative is deeply intertwined with the selection of this chronotope as the locus of the story. Secondary chronotopes, such as cemeteries and thresholds, and their interrelations with principal narrative elements like characters and events further corroborate the findings. This multifaceted exploration highlights the central role of  the ruins and wreckage chronotope in shaping the thematic and aesthetic dimensions of the novel.  کرونوتوپ (پیوستارِ زمان- مکان) که توسط نظریه پرداز برجسته، میخاییل باختین طرح می شود، یکی از مؤلفه های مهم در سنخ شناسی و تحلیل بوطیقایی اثر است. در این تحقیق کوشیده ایم نشان دهیم که کرونوتوپ ها در اثر برجسته ای چون بوف کور، چه عملکردی دارند و چگونه در خدمت فضاسازی ژانری و بوطیقایی اثر عمل می کنند. بدین منظور ماهیت رمانتیک و گوتیک روایت بوف کور در تعامل با کرونوتوپ ها - بویژه یک کرونوتوپ اصلی، یعنی خرابه و ویرانه- بررسی شده است. در این بررسی مشخص می شود که ماهیت رمانتیک- گوتیک این روایت، ارتباط روشنی با انتخاب این کرونوتوپ بعنوان مکان اصلی روایت دارد. در این روایت، کرونوتوپ خرابه و ویرانه، کارکردی نمادین دارد و نوعی بازخوانی گذشته و تلاشی ناکام برای احیای آن در امروز است. همچنین ارتباط شبکه ای سایر عناصر داستان، همچون شخصیت ها، رویدادها و کرونوتوپ های فرعی (همچون گورستان و آستانهها) با این کرونوتوپ اصلی، نتایج به دستآمده از تحلیل حاضر را تایید می کند. این مقاله با روشی کیفی و تبیینی به بررسی داده های متنی می پردازد و بر اساس چارچوب نظری مزبور تحلیلی چندوجهی از آنها ارایه می کند.
